Tucked away in Pasir Ris Bus Interchange, Cottage Pies is a humble bakery that dishes out excellent savoury pies. In fact, this bakery goes all the way back to 1997, when its owner decided to cease his electronic business to go to New Zealand to professionally bake country-style pies!

It sells bite-sized Chicken Pies (S$4.20 for 3, $1.50 for 1), which also come in black pepper and chicken mushroom flavours. Vegetarians can try its Vege Pies (S$4.20 for 3, $1.50 for 1), which come with macaroni, potato and beans.
It also sells sweet pies, such as Banana Chocolate Pie (S$4.70 for 3, S$1.70 for 1).

My personal favourite was the Chicken Pie. Small and bite-sized, the crust was buttery, crispy and flaky. Upon cutting into the small pie, I found shredded chicken on the inside. While I had expected the shredded chicken to be dry from its time in the oven, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was delightfully juicy and soft.
Meat lovers can opt for its Beef Stew Pie (S$5.50), a hearty and meaty pie that’s stuffed with stewed beef, soft potato cubes and corn.
