Good pies & Cakes – Nutsovernut

Very good pies! Try the strawberry sweethearts, I bought them for my colleagues and they all loved it! Not sure if the surroundings is ideal for dining in though, there are wooden chairs and tables but it's located next to a road... Reviews from Hungrygowhere

Cottage Pies Cafe – Sally Yet

One of the nice pies i ever eat, they bake it themselves available in small size so that you can get to eat different favours, their fillings are very full with thin crust,i tried their original chicken, black pepper chicken and curry chicken flavour, all taste very nice, i not a pie person, but i love this cafe so much, they also got sell cakes. be it cakes or pies, it is very nice, good for a tea break or even celebration, for this price, you won't be able to find it elsewhere, good food with reasonable price. highly recommended. Heart this Jelly

I was introduced to the jelly heart, a pretty strawberry dessert, years ago. But we lost touch and when I ran into it recently, i couldn't quite recognise it. It was flabby. It had grown from a slender rectangle into a square, almost. The jelly casing of the cheesecake was thick and tasteless. What had the darling jelly heart done to itself? But I realised what had happened: More shops are selling jelly hearts now, but not all do justice to it. The old jelly heart turned out to be alive and well, though, when I tracked it down. It is now available at two shops, Fringe Cafe (four for $4.80) and Cottage Pies Cafe (two for $1.90), and it is as lovely as ever. Straits Times, Lifestyle, Mar 11, 2012

hits the spot – Ginger

they serve very good pies, i always have the chicken sausages and chicken mushroom pie. can even keep overnight in the fridge and pop it into the toaster for a while, it'll still taste as sizzling great! a pity that over the years, the size of the pies have considerably shrunk in size due to inflation T.T but kudos to the fillings (glad they didnt compromise on the filling), which have always remained hot and juicy (not greasy) while the outside itself is crunchy and comes in many fluffy thin layers, compared to those.. say from polar, which tend to be tough and somehow taste a little too strong on the flour, and scrimp-ish on the inside as well. cakes wise, tiramisu and oreocheese are soft and just nice on the sweetness, not the best i had though... but the double chocolate cake is heavenly! 3 dollars, relatively cheap and much nicer and fresher than the ones we get from restaurants :p also try the cheesyhearts Reviews from Hungrygowhere
